FBI-led panel to provide insight into international fight against cybercrime
International law enforcement agencies set to join forces at VB2007 in Vienna.
International law enforcement agencies are set to join forces at the VB2007 anti-malware conference in
Vienna next month to provide an insight into the work of the world's police forces in the fight against
organized online crime.
The worldwide cooperation between international law enforcement agencies fighting cybercrime
will be demonstrated at the VB2007 anti-malware conference in Vienna on Friday 21st September as members of
the FBI, Australian Federal Police and the UK's CPNI take to the stage in a unique panel discussion.
Led by
David Thomas, the FBI's Deputy Assistant Director for Science and Technology, panel members Stacy Arruda,
Supervisory Special Agent, Cyber Crime Squad, FBI, Kevin Zuccato, Director, Australian High Tech Crime Centre,
and Mark Oram, Senior Manager, Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure, will discuss the current
state of organized high-tech crime, the obstacles faced by law enforcement working across national jurisdictions,
the working relationships between international task forces, the sharing of information and intelligence,
future projects and more.
