We were very sorry to learn of the passing of industry pioneer Dr Alan Solomon earlier this week.
Alan Solomon was the eponymous creator of one of the world's first anti-virus programs, Dr Solomon's Anti-Virus Toolkit, which he created in 1988 in response to an increasing need for help in dealing with virus infections of the likes of Jerusalem and VIRUS-B.
By all accounts he was a talented, charming and quick witted character, who not only played a large part in shaping the fledgling anti-virus industry but also influenced the careers of many who followed in his footsteps.
We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
