Bugs galore
Symantec's acquisition of SecurityFocus last month has unsettled a number of contributors to the BugTraq vulnerability list. So much so that they created a new one.
At the news of Symantec's acquisition of SecurityFocus, some of the more wary among the AV community predicted the demise of SecurityFocus' long-running BugTraq vulnerability mailing list. Their concern was such that a brand new vulnerability list has been created as a BugTraq alternative and equivalent.

Hosted by AVET Information and Network Security, Bugdev is a non-commercial full disclosure list moderated by a number of independent admins.
It remains to be seen whether ship-jumping from BugTraq will continue apace.
