Our XML feeds are designed to keep you informed of the latest movements within the AV industry. Each news feed consists of a headline and description of the article, along with links back to virusbtn.com for the full story. This information can then be embedded on your own website or read from a desktop RSS client, providing instant access to our latest content with very little effort on your part.

What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution.

How do I use it?

When you click on one of those orange XML buttons ( ) you will most likely be presented with a page full of computer code. Don't worry, you haven't done anything wrong! In order to view the RSS properly, you will need an RSS reader.

Where do I get a reader?

The first step, is to determine how you would like to view our news feeds. You have three choices:

• some form of desktop RSS reader
• a browser plug in
• or direct embedding into your webpage

Desktop readers

There are a huge numbers of desktop RSS readers on the market today. The price can range from free, to anything really. Most of the free readers will do almost everything you could ever ask for from a desktop RSS reader. Some of the higher end readers allow extra grouping and sorting options as well as adding your own custom descriptions to each feed, making managing all your feeds that little bit easier.

Browser plugins

You may like to access the RSS content from within one of your existing applications. This is possible in some of the more modern web browsers (such as Mozilla's firefox) and also in some email applications such as Microsoft's Outlook Express. Check the documentation that came with your product (or just search google)

Direct embeding

If you would like to have our latest news articles appear directly on your website, you may be better off looking into our Javascript feeds ( ). These feeds can be embeded into your site mearly by pasting a few lines of code in the relevant place on your web page.
