This presentation will follow the evolution of malware over the past decade using examples of how malware is being used
by the modern computer criminal.
The content comprises examples from investigations conducted by the speaker and will include: botnet architecture
(IRC, HTTP and peer-to-peer), malware affiliation schemes, Internet worms, Denial of Service attacks and banking
trojans.
As well as malware some examples of the tools used by criminal groups will also be discussed.
