WildList

Official list of known spreading malware

The WildList is a monthly list compiled by the WildList Organization - a collaborative group of anti-malware experts - of the malware reported from the real world during the past month. As a reliable subset of current malware it is used as the basis for many product tests and certification systems.

The WildList was originally set up by Joe Wells, and is currently maintained by ICSA Labs. Data is provided by WildList reporters from around the world, mostly representing security firms but also including some independent researchers and security admins from major corporations. To reach the list, an item must be submitted separately by two different reporters, thus ensuring that everything included is genuinely in the wild. A 'supplementary' list is also produced alongside the core list, which includes items that have only been reported by one source.
