VoIP spam

Spamming via telephone using VoIP

VoIP spam refers to unwanted phone messages, sent using VoIP internet telephony technology.

VoIP spam usually uses pre-recorded advertising messages, which are played to recipients of phone calls sent by automated systems of the web using VoIP. Hijacked accounts are often used to further reduce the costs of such advertising campaigns.
