Software with legitimate use, but potential for danger

Like hacker tools and 'potentially unwanted' items, riskware describes software which may be have legitimate uses, but which may also pose a security risk.

The term 'riskware' is particularly commonly applied to items like chat clients, which may be unwanted in a corporate setting and may provide a vector for malware infiltration.
