Patch Tuesday

Monthly release of Microsoft patches

Patch Tuesday is Microsoft's monthly release of patches and fixes for its Windows operating systems and other software, so called as it takes place on the second Tuesday of each month.

Major emergency patches for serious security issues may be released out of cycle, but the majority are included in the monthly releases, scheduled thus to allow administrators to coordinate their efforts efficiently.
