Logic bomb

Code that delivers a payload in response to a trigger

Logic bombs are programs designed to implement some action, usually malicious or fraudulent, in response to a trigger. The trigger may be a set of circumstances such as a particular date, a change in some item of data or the absence of a message from their creator.

Logic bombs are often associated with disgruntled employees placing code into company systems which destroys or corrupts vital data after they have left the company's employment.
