Yet more Word zero-day woes
Possible third vulnerability in popular software exploited.
Reports are coming in of a new exploit for Microsoft's Word word processing software, amid speculation that the attack takes advantage of yet another vulnerability.
With the first two, one several weeks old and the other appearing last week, not covered by the recent Patch Tuesday release, many security watchers have argued that the latest issue should be enough to force Microsoft to break its patching cycle and release fixes.
Details of the latest vulnerability, as well as the previous ones, remain scant, but eEye Digital Security is carrying an alert on the latest possible exploit, with some further information, here.
