Panda vulnerabilities revealed

ActiveScan remote access holes patched, details disclosed.

Several vulnerabilites have been found in Panda Software's ActiveScan product. The problems could be used to initiate a reboot from a remote source, to gather system information or even to launch arbitrary code.

The flaws were reported to Panda on September 21st, and patches issued almost two weeks ago. Researchers at Secunia, who found the issues, have rated them as 'highly critical', and users are advised to ensure their software is fully up-to-date.
