Latest VB100% test announced
Call for products issued for Windows XP x64 test.
The latest round of VB 100% certification testing has been announced. The test will be run on the Windows XP
Professional x64 Edition platform, with the submission deadline set for 1 November 2006.
The test takes the form of a comparative review of all submitted products. The coveted VB 100% award is granted only to
those products which detect everything currently listed as 'In the Wild' by
wildlist.org, both on access and on demand, as well as scanning a set of
known clean files without false positives. The testing also covers speed of scanning, and accuracy in an extensive zoo
virus collection.
Vendors wishing to submit a product for testing should contact John Hawes.
Entry to the test is free of charge.
The results of the test will appear in the December issue of VB, available to subscribers only.
