Hormel halts Spam King in his tracks

No 'Spam King' clothing line for Richter.

Infamous spammer Scott Richter, aka the 'Spam King', has fallen at the first hurdle in his bid to launch a 'Spam King'-branded clothing line.

According to Newsday.com, Richter has revealed that, shortly after he began to market his Spam King range of clothes - which was to include hats, T-shirts and underwear sporting slogans such as 'Just opt out' and 'Click it' - he received a cease-and-desist communication from Hormel Foods, warning that Hormel owns the rights to the Spam mark.

So, for now, the fashion world will have to wait for the much anticipated SK clothing range - Mr Richter will have to find the time to settle this trademark matter in between both suing anti-spam organisation SpamCop and being sued by the New York Attorney General.
