Dinosaur phishing has made a significant comeback during the past year. Several brands in Europe are either directly abused in these campaigns or directly targeted.
At the same time, not surprisingly, losses related to online credit card abuse and fraud have hit the roof as a result of the 'immunity' of the bad actors.
This presentation focuses on an eight-month - and still on going - investigation, in-house tools, cash-out processes and close monitoring of a large phishing cluster operating out of Morocco.
The individuals conducting these attacks are closely connected on various social networks, openly sharing knowledge and being involved in different types of online crime spanning from spamming, DDoSing and cracking to phishing and credit card abuse.
So we know who they are!
Now what can we do, when the bad guys are identified as teenagers operating out of Morocco?!
