About Vancouver
VB2010 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Virus Bulletin conference and its second visit to Vancouver. This
vibrant, multicultural city set in spectacular natural surroundings frequently tops the charts as one of the best places to
visit in North America, and we felt it was time for VB to pay a second visit, 11 years after our first.
Not only does Vancouver offer all the attractions of modern city life, but also the opportunity to explore the mountains, oceans and rainforest on its doorstep. The city has an exciting and diverse performing arts scene, a collection of shopping districts to suit every taste, museums covering every aspect of life from the history of the First Nations to a space centre and observatory, as well as an abundance of opportunities to experience the great outdoors.
The city has also been ranked among the top ten restaurant cities in the world, played host to the Winter Olympics earlier this year, and is often voted as one of the world's most liveable cities. With all that under its belt it's surprising it's taken VB so long to return!
