VB2009 - Geneva

VB2009 takes place 23 - 25 September 2009 at the Crowne Plaza, Geneva, Switzerland.

The Crowne Plaza Geneva is conveniently located next to the international airport and very near to the city centre. A complimentary shuttle bus service runs between the airport and the hotel and between the train station and the hotel (both 0.5km distance).

Car parking facilities are available at the hotel at a cost of CHF 40 per 24 hours. For those staying at the hotel the parking fee is CHF 25 per 24 hours.

As the culinary capital of Switzerland, Geneva offers a wealth of restaurants and its wine growers run regular free wine tastings. For shopaholics and souvenir hunters, Geneva is a shopper's paradise.

Further afield, Mont Salève affords stunning views of Geneva. Across the border in France, the beautiful city of Annecy is less than 90 minutes away by bus.

For day trips and overnight stays, Chamonix and the majestic Mont Blanc are a 90-minute coach ride away, the perfectly preserved fortified village of Gruyère is one of Switzerland's most photogenic sights, and the nearby mountain village of Moléson still produces cheese using the old mountain methods.

In the Montreux area, the ancient Chateau Chillon, set on the shores of Lake Geneva, offers a fascinating glimpse into the past, while the cog railway at the Rocher-de-Naye provides spectacular views of Lake Geneva the surrounding Alps.

For a break from the noise and humdrum of everyday life, Zermatt, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, is an idyllic mountain village with no motorised vehicles, while Gornergrat offers a spectacular mountain panorama second to none with the Matterhorn railway.
