The strange case of Julie Amero

On 5 January 2007, Julie Amero was tried and convicted of four counts of risk of injury to a minor, for apparently surfing pornography sites while teaching classes of 12 year olds.

However, forensic investigations of the data paint a very different picture. This paper explores how the forensic investigation was carried out, shows where this differs from the picture painted in the trial, and makes recommendations on how investigations should continue in future cases of this nature.
