Your company has just been 'slammed' by the latest virus and it is time to
call in the troops to contain and eradicate this threat.
This talk will focus on the event management process from the detection phase through
the post mortem process. Including recognising you have a problem, understanding the impact to
your company, assembling the right team members and identifying and implementing a solution.
I will discuss some tools that are critical to event management. Including detection
tools, deployment tools, monitoring tools and communication tools.
Immediately after operations are back to normal it is imperative that you perform a
post mortem to ensure that you address lessons learned and can implement process improvements.
I will submit to you a Post Mortem process plan that, if followed, will allow you to effectively address and improve your infrastructure.
